My name is Paul Warburton and I’m a freelance photographer based on the Wirral, in north west England, married, with too many pets. My wife is a fitness nut, so when I shoot a sporting event, if she can take part in it, she will. I feel healthier just watching her do it!
My interest in photography spans over 30 years, from the good old days of 35mm film to modern digital.
When first moving into the world of professional photography, I specialised in panoramic and virtual reality images for corporate clients, but then expanded into sporting events, PR & editorial work and, more recently, concert photography.
I'm an accredited press photographer and, unlike many freelance competitors, hold a current UK Press Card, which can be verified by the Metropolitan Police.
I like to take a relaxed and friendly, but planned approach, to any photoshoot that I do. I shoot sporting events, ranging from running or cycling events, to triathlons, and also cover PR and editorial. I also provide headshots and portraits, either in a studio environment or on location. My work has been published in magazines and newspapers, licensed to stock image libraries and selected for gallery exhibitions. I'm currently represented by an international image agency.
I’m happy to cover any kind of event, anywhere in the country, providing you can supply me with plenty of fresh coffee!
